Busy mom and need a quick and easy meal!
Finding a meal that everyone likes, is easy, quick, and nutritious can be challenging. What I have discovered over the years is that kids’ tastebuds continue to change. Sometimes I make my favorite meal, and my kids hate it. I don’t know about you, but it can be extremely frustrating.
My kids didn’t like pizza for like 2 years! Who doesn’t like pizza? It was awful. No quick easy pizza night. Now they love pepperoni pizza! Who would have thought?
Change it up!
When I try a new meal, if the kids don’t love it, but it tastes good to you and your spouse, hold onto it and try it later. Adding new ingredients to the meal can help with the different flavors to accommodate your kid’s liking. Cook it more than once. I don’t know about you, but I can miss a step or miss an ingredient so the taste could be different the second time around. I also hope that the kids’ tastebuds will change to them liking it. I don’t like to get rid of a recipe unless the entire family is not a fan. If I like the ingredients in the recipe, I try to find another version of that meal that might be more appealing to the kiddos.
Spaghetti and Meatballs!
Spaghetti and meatballs are a fan favorite in my house. And VERY easy to make. You can change it up just a little bit to make it the way your family enjoys it.
Add a bag of frozen meatballs to a crockpot with some canned spaghetti sauce. Add extra seasonings to the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Cook ground beef before you serve if you like a little extra meat.
